JOURNEY TOGETHER “Life is in the journey, not the destination.” “We never arrive, but are always arriving.” “Enjoy the journey.” We’ve probably all heard these tired but true phrases and understand their importance. These words are so familiar and so important, yet they seem to keep slipping out of our lives like a bar of soap on a bad shower day. Unfortunately, people have a tendency to reduce their personal journey to an episode or a routine void of adventure. Life is a journey. We initiate journey when we seek to identify this truth in our personal lives. Personal adventure begins when we realize that life emerges moment by moment and that we can learn to discover and discern this emergence. As we do this, we connect with our destiny—our being in action. Adventures don’t come with trip ticks—especially the adventure of life. We must live our way through the journey one day at a time. At Church Alive, we are on a journey. Our journey is spiritual in purpose. Our intent is to invite as many people as possible to join us on this incredible journey. Additionally, we will provide many opportunities to discover, deepen and develop with God as we journey together. Please consider journeying with us now or in the future. JOURNEY OPPORTUNITIES Discover Church Alive Orientation If you are interested in learning more about Church Alive and how to get involved in our faith family, then this orientation is for you. Journey 101 (2 Corinthians 5:17) If you are a new believer, or if you are struggling with your walk with the Lord or life's battles, or if you are a seasoned Christian in need of redirection and purpose, you will gain a lot from these 6 sessions. Journey 201 (1 Corinthians 12) If you are seeking and pursuing a life filled with the Spirit and desire to know more about spiritual gifts, then this session is for you. Included in these sessions is a spiritual gifts analysis. Available at various times throughout the year. Water Baptism (Colossians 2:11-12) Scripture states that all Christians need to experience water baptism. If you have not, it is available at various times throughout the year for those who have made the decision to begin their journey with God. Partnership Class (1 Corinthians 12:27) If you are interested in becoming a participating partner of Church Alive, this class is for you. Classes begin at various times throughout the year. |
