We will plan an activity for children (crafts, going to the park, or maybe a swim date) that will allow the parents time to have "adult conversation". The time spent together is simply to be able to speak to others in similar situations, as they understand the unique hardships and pleasures of single parenthood.

MOM TIME
Led by Heidi Berry

"Mom Time" will be a group for moms of young children that incorporates ideas found in Lisa Welchel's book in which the four key elements of mom time are: 1. Friends 2. Food 3. Faith and 4. Fun. "Mom Time" is described in the book as an "opportunity to meet weekly in a home to encourage one another, learn from each other's challenges, and most of all be refreshed through laughter". This group will be geared to mothers of children under two years old. The purpose of this group is not meant to be a playgroup for the children but a place where mothers can bring their young children and enjoy the company of other mothers. However, there will be toys for the children to play with but the time spent will be mainly focused on activities and discussions for the mothers. Mom Time will meet weekly on Friday mornings at the home of Heidi Berry from 9:30 to 11:00 am.
