Welcome to Church Alive's official Project Relief web pages. We have committed, as a faith family, to assisting families, specifically in the relocation process, who have suffered loss during the recent hurricane.

TEMPORARY HOUSING

If you have an extra room in your house, basement or additional and would like to offer temporary housing to Hurricane Katrina evacuees, following are three ways you can help:

Wake County

If you wish to offer housing to the victims of Hurricane Katrina staying in a Wake County shelter, call 212-9595. Leave a message with your name, phone number and details of the housing and te tyope of people (children, elderly, couples, etc.) that you can accommodate. Be patient, if the voice mail box is full, wait 15 to 20 minutes and call back. Also, it amy take county workers several days to return your call.

The purpose of this relief effort is match churches/organizations with families that need our help. If you are interested in helping this effort, go to www.findshelter.org. They have a questionnaire to fill out that helps match individuals with people who can help.

Both of these websites provide a hub to list what you have available to match up donor homes with refugees.
