Pastor Jimmy came to Church Alive from Southeastern University and became the youth pastor in 2003. Shortly after, he married his wife Amanda, to whom he has now been married for twenty years. In 2008, Jimmy and Amanda relocated to Alabama, their home state, where they served as youth pastors for ten years. In 2017, Pastor Jimmy returned to Church Alive to serve as the Executive Pastor. In addition to his executive role, he launched Alive Leadership College and oversaw the men’s ministry. Amanda works in the medical field as a registered nurse. On June 24, 2022, Jimmy + Amanda Lunsford were voted in as the Lead Pastors at Church Alive.​​
